radiator
so i put a 94 gsr engine and tranny into a 93 four door civic ex and used the gsr radiator, i doesn't fit that good and is kinda big, so i was wondering what kind of radiators you guys used on your swap. and maybe a price that you paid, thanks
I put a '92-'95 Civic 3 core Fluidyne radiator in my '92 CX / B18C1 hybrid. The car would start to overheat on the stock single core radiator when running high speed (90's) on really hot days for long periods of time. With the Fluidyne, it never moved. I think paid around $400 for mine but I bought one of the first ones, I think they're closer to $325 now. Great quality and I still have mine in my '98 EX till I get rid of it.
You will want something to block the other side of the opening if you don't have an A/C system though, otherwise the air just goes through there rather than your radiator.

I have a b18c in my 93 dx hatch. I have been rocking the stock radiator for 2000miles since the swap. I drove it for 3 hours at 80mph in 95 degree heat, and the guage didnt move. I feel that the stock radiator works fine for most drivers.
I bought mine from a local tuning shop but you shouldn't have much trouble finding them these days.
I'm on my laptop now and don't have any pictures on this computer, when I get a chance, I'll upload a picture later. If you don't have A/C from the factory, Honda installs a plastic shield on that side. If you have nothing, I would consider fabricating some sort of block for that side.
My CX radiator had 150k miles on it when I did my swap and it held up fine until you had a really hot day or spent a lot of time at high speeds (where the GS-R tranny forces you turn very high rpms at highway speeds). You may run fine with the stock radiator but I did run hot and I figured rather than bandaid the solution, I just went with the bigger radiator and never had to worry about it.

well the cooling isnt the problem right now, my temp gauge doesnt move it just looks big and bulky, and doesnt stay in place all the time, im trying to make it look like a nice clean swap, il try and post a pic of the engine bay, im currently looking at a lower miled engine from a hmotors cause it has about 141,000 on it,
