01 gsr stalling at idle

the other day i was racing an 06 v6 mustang and as i went to hit fourth at /WOT/redline the motor went straight to 9,000 rpms??? now i have a cel and the car dies when i come to a stop while driving and will only idle at 700 rpms and very rough.

is it possible i fouled a plug? also there is a ticking on the exhaust side that doesnt go away as i accelerate. the car is an 01 with 33xxx miles

take it to autozone or kragen
they will check your cel for free...

Sounds like a bent valve. Figure out what the CEL is, fix that, and if the problem still persists, it could most likely be a bent valve.
