GSR block, which head should i use?

Default GSR block, which head should i use?

Alright guys i found a good deal on a GSR block and im trying to figure out which head to use. am i better off going with the stock b18 head or is the B16 head and will it give me better performance. I am planning on boosting this motor so give me your input and suggestions. thanks all

it would be better to keep the gs-r head, it has better mid lift flow, the b16 has better high lift flow, but it aint gonna benifit u more than mid flow numbers

oh yeah i forgot to mention u would have a slight increase of compression than the b16

You have it backwards. The two heads flow almost identically, with the GSR flowing better at low valve lift, and full valve lift. It also has smaller combustion chambers which result in slightly higher static compression.

ok kool, the heads i have flowed over the years the gs-r had better mid range, but most were slightly modded so yeah maybe im wrong, i say this after u port a head, its done, if u want a new port configuration i's rather start with a new head, u never know what kinda secrects u can find, more alike when ur usin a street head velocity is key, but if u got a full race head and ur getting the fuel, thats when u can start opening up the port alot more
