Default Building a turbo B18b1

I was wondering if you could take the girdle and under piston oil squirters from a vtech engine and put that on a non vtech block, also would a vtech head or a non vtech head be best for a turbo set up.... i am not really looking for big numbers around 300hp but still would like decent gas mileage...well the best i could for a 300hp turbo four banger

Just doing research on the web, i have read of people bolting on RevHard turbo kits with Crowler cams achieving 326hp to the wheels. And from what i have read and understand, the LS head would be better, i could be wrong though. I have read of devices (Phantom Grip) for boosted vtec cars that actuall elliminate the lobe advancing so that you only run on 1 or 2 of the 3 lobes. About the oil squirters, i dont know. If it would work i would like to install squirters on my B.

i though the ls head would be better cause it has less overlap, which would make the engine fill with boost quicker

About the Girdle... i dont see why it wouldnt fit the b18a/b block. I would rotate the crank to make sure of clearences after installation. I plan on bolting a girdle on my built block. At the very most possible machine work or a bit of gringing. I dont know about the oil squirters though. If you find out, let me know.

My 2 on the choice of heads... I would stick with the LS. Cam it, double springs, Ti retainter, ect. Vtec is best for NA. From what i looked into, turbo cams i have looked at for vtecs actually elliminate the 3 lobes stepping, giving 3 lobes of the same size. Duration might differ, but size looks damn near the same. I didnt get to measure with a caliper, but they look DAMN near the same. Im building up my b18 for boost, and im keeping the LS block and LS head.

Watch your stock bottom end too. Stock block boost limit is about 11 psi. I wouldnt go much more than 8, 10 MAX!
