white smoke

Default white smoke

i need some help. white smoke??? i just replace the head gasket and there was still white smoke coming out of the exhaust. coolent is being sucked up from the overflow container till its empty. my car never seems to over heat though. and i think my car is running rich.

Ok that happened to me recently, I blew the head gasket and replaced it, and for the next hour of driving white smoke was coming out, a lot at the beg. but less and less as i kep drivin

Sounds like the head gasket didn't seat right. White smoke is indictive of coolant burning, so you will need to pinpoint the way it gets into the combustion chamber and fix it. My bets are on the headgasket either being installed wrong, didn't seat properly (seems unlikely, as I have never had one seat improperly), or the head is warped and needs resurfacing for proper headgasket seal.

Yeah, I think your head gasket didn't seat properly.Check on your combustion chamber and see if there are any coolant.It happened to me before.

I would say the block/head is warped and needs milled or maybe a crack in the head. if your coolant is bubbling or your oil looks white the gasket didn't fix the problem
