Default Muffler piping for N1 look??

I just bought an Apexi N1 muffler and I want to run 2.5" piping from the cat back w/ a test pipe insert. My question is how will I get the exhaust to come off sideways like the real catback Apexi N1?? Will it have to be run under the suspension?? I have no idea what to tell the muffler shop when I take my car to get it piped out and the muffler installed.

N1 cars in Japan have their piping run down the middle of the car and then angled out to the exhaust cutout in the bumper. If you don't want to worry about scraping your piping, you can run it like a normal exhaust, and ad some bends after the LCA to get the piping in toward the center, and then have the muffler angle outward toward the exhaust cutout. Or, just run the piping like a normal exhaust and you should be able to angle the muffler some, but not as much as a "true" N1 car.

The true N1 cat back has the can already tapered up just by the piping. have the shop angle the pipe going into the can so it sits up a little bit. Mine seems low, but i have never scraped it yet:thumbup:

i've seen pics of the apex n1 catback on the g3 integras and it runs above the control arm. however for the eg hatches, they run under the control arm. i don't know why they made it different like this. probably because the integra bumper is farther away from the suspension and the civic was too close for them to angle it properly. also the sideways angle on the civic is quite extreme. i have pics of it if anyone wants to see them.

96dc2gsr-I would love to see pics if you could post them. I want a couple pics to take to the muffler shop to show them and to make sure it looks exactly right even though it isn't the real thing.
Thanks in advance.

jigga008_99, sorry dude i don't have pics of them on the car. it's funny, i've never seen this system on the hatch. neither in person or on the net. oh yeah those pics weren't taken by me. i got them from a bid on e-bay. the guy selling it stated it's from an eg hatch. from looking at the pics, i don't doubt him. notice on the axle-back part it uses a 45 degree bend on the first part and a 90 degree bend just before the canister. when you have it done think about this, alright.

likaciv, well if it doesn't look like that, then which system does he have exactly? j/w.
