Default Bad to turn A/C on/off a lot?

Is there anything wrong with turning the A/C on and off a lot in a short time on an Integra? Let's say I have the A/C going, but I need some engine power so I turn it off, then I pass the guy or whatever, and then I turn the A/C back on. Anything wrong with doing that a lot?

I know some cars (including some Acuras) automatically shut off the A/C at WOT, and I'm thinking about adding that feature to my Integra, but I'm wondering if it's hard on my A/C or anything. Any intelligent thoughts/opinions on this?

(Yes, I am too lazy and too stupid to press the A/C button when I need more power. So, now that we know that, there's no need for lame replies to point that out. )

Just remember the A/C is operated with a belt, it becomes old, worn, sometimes saturated with fluids, like any belt at some point it will lose the strength and tension it was meant to operate under. That is the only thing I can think of beyond the components in the compressor or its lubricants. I wouldn't think it would do anything damaging, but constantly turning it off/on I am sure will "eventually" put some wear into it.

Well, under normal operation with the A/C on, the compressor (thing driven by the belt) will cycle on and off as needed to keep the R-134 (A/C coolant) in the correct temp/pressure band. So, no, it won't hurt it if you manually cycle it or install a WOT cutout switch.
