Default ITR engine into my B16 civic?

will a b18c5 go into my EG B16a2 engined civic???
I know the driveshafts and engine mounts will be the same but i need some info on the ECU etc (mine obd1 and the ITR is obd2 isnt it??)

What would i need to put it in and get it running properly?

Also, i know its hard to say but what 1/4 mile times are poss in a ITR engined EG with the s80 LSD tranny(1,2 and 3rd short ratio gears) with reasonable bolt ons?
I have a DC header, mongoose exhaust, de-cat and CAI?

thanks ste

It would be good to have that engine in the car.

B18C5 will fit, you'll need to do an OBDI to OBDII conversion, that includes the ECU. It'd be substantially faster than your B16.

Wer can i get this adapter plz chaps? (i'm in the UK)
Yeh soz did realise they ECU would need changing.
What about all the sensors/plugs etc? do i use the B16 sensors on the ITR engine or will the ITR sensors plug into the EG's wiring loom?

The header from your B16 won't bolt up to a B18C5, you'll need a new one. The collector should be okay, but ideally go with recommended size.

All the sensors should already come with the B18C5 if you're buying it as a "full swap"

By the way, always liked your hatch

It will bolt up, however the length of the header or cat may be different causing problems underneath. If you want to use your current header, keep your current cat and exhaust, and it should all bolt up. The bolt pattern on all BSeries heads are the same- its just a matter of whether or not it matches up on the underside.

really!! damn i thought all B-series headers would fit each other!!
Looks like i'm selling the header then! lol
I'm gonna have to modify the de-cat pipe then to make the 1 1/2 collector fit my 1 1/4 exhaust.........more work as usual! lol
Thanks man, I nearly sold it! glad i didnt!

Default Have the computer reprogrammed

My suggestion on the computer is to have your existing B16 computer reprogrammed. ITR computers are rare and costly. Should be able to get a reprogramm for no more than $425 my guess is it will cost more like $150 to $300.

Good luck

Oh good, glad it will fit, didnt really fancy buying a new header!
So will i beable to run a ITR map on my B16 ECU?
Then i wouldnt need a obd1 to obd2 converter, right?
will the sensors that come with the ITR engine fit the EG wiring?

Also, i know the spline on the driveshaft should be the same on all B series engines, but will the longer driveshaft center bearing still bolt up to the back of the engine?

i personally would just build or boost or boost and build your b16 unless your getting a bitchin deal on a c5. but all i have run into have been around 4k for something decent.
