I have considered boost but here in the uk it would cost me more, i can get a 30,000 mile B18c5 delivered to my door for 1000 pounds, and my freind can put a ITR map on my ecu for free.

The Turbo option would cost me more as my car has 140,000 miles on it and i would buy a lower mileage B16a2 and put that in if i was gonna turbo.

Anyone know about the sensors i asked about further up the thread??

Transfer all existing sensors on the b16a to the gsr motor. Where you'll have trouble with this swap (marginally) is the intake manifold. GSR is vastly different. I've got a similar situation with my ls/vtec build, so I'm using the civic intake manifold on a gsr head. On my swap, I'm just dropping the existing obd0 sensors onto the engine. If I need any obd1 or obd2 stuff, though, I'll just get plug extensions off ebay and solder them in. Also.. here's a crazy thought.. why don't you just get an obd1 gsr motor - or even a b17a w/ a gsr crank (which IS (pretty much) a gsr motor)? If you do that, you'll only have to wire up the gsr air bypass junk on the intake manifold. The rest would be IDENTICAL. ECU and all. If you NEED the itr power, toss itr cams into the proposed b18c1 or b17a w/ gsr crank. Then, you've got yourself a poor man's itr.

We dont get the GSR motor here in the UK, so as i can get a itr engine imported for 1000 pounds delivered........i'm happy with that!
Will the same rule apply with the ITR engine (put the sensors out of the B16a into the B18c5 itr engine?)
My freind will map up my ecu to be a standard ITR map for free.
The GSR has a differant intake manifold than the ITR/B16a/B16b isnt it? so will i still run into the manifold sensor problems?

Like I said.. just move the sensors. It's nearly the same engine. You will need to custom wire the Intake Air Bypass, though. "Complete engine" should come with the wires for that.
