Tranny fluid?
I've been running non-Honda tranny fluid and still works fine.
I suggest buying Honda and some cheaper tranny fluid. First dump the cheaper fluid in and run it for a few days and then do it again. The third time you should put in the Honda fluid.
That way you clean out the old fluid since most of the time you only get like 50% of the old fluid out. Also, NEVER FLUSH A HONDA TRAN!

Your '90 owner's manual probably says to use 10w-30 engine oil, because Honda didn't have MTF back then. They introduced 'genuine' Honda MTF around '96 or so, and it's compatible with the trannys that call for 10w-30 engine oil.
So if your owner's manual calls for something else (like GL5 gear oil???) then use that. But if it calls for engine oil, Honda MTF is a little better.
