timing the dizzy question

Default timing the dizzy question

ive heard to advance the timing on the dizzy but im not sure how and if it would help out any.... i have a ls/vtec with 11.8:1 comp

stock the car is timed on the conservitive side incase anyone puts low-octane fuel into it. i would say if you really want to try it get a timing light and advance it 2-4 degrees and see what that gets you.

so which way should i turn it towards the front of the car then?

Be very cautious advancing your timing with your set-up...
Try 1 degee at a time, drive it check for pinging then move forward. Make sure your using premium unleaded fuel.

to advance, turn top of distributor toward firewall
