when i do my engine swap what engine should i put in? Right now i have a b18b1. One of my friends told me that the gsr was better to build off of

depends what u want to do, be more specfic as to what your future plans are boost, all motor, etc.... your budget

^agreed it depends on wether u wanna go all motor or boost....i would have to say go with a b18c1 if u wanted to go boost because its basically cheaper to purchase initally and ur gonna wind up changin a lot of parts in it. and really if u wanted to go boost, id think about stickin with the b18b1 block and doing a ls-vtec setup with a built lower end.
if you want all motor well the b18c5 would be better cuz ur already gettin a higher compression ration...

Yes, I would boost it. Or do an ls-vtec conversion for much less than one of those motors.

about how much would the ls-vtec conversion cost me? And about where would i stand for hp tq?

You would have to buy the vtec head plus a golden eagle conversion kit for the basic conversion. If you want a GSR redline, you should think about some stronger rod bolts for added security. The ls-vtec setup will have around the same compression as a GSR motor with a little extra torque.
