blew my head gasket

Default blew my head gasket

Ive been having problems with the car overheating and just today it finally gave out. i need to know if I should just replace the gasket or get a new head?

Overheating could be due to a fault waterpump. Give your Rad a nice drain, and wash it out with water, well rinse it. Throw some new coolant in, and start it up. A head gasket might be something you should look into. If you need a head, I have one for you, no charge, just send me an email if you want it @ darude913@hotmail.com . I'll mail it down

I would get the head resurfaced and flattened since it may have warped when the gasket blew. Make sure that your water pump and thermostat are functioning like they should and you should be set.

There is no need for a new head unless it is warped beyond servicable limits.
