Default Benifit of getting Hondata on stock engine?

Hi.

Would there be any gains to be made by getting a Hondata setup in my otherwise stock H22A w/ I/H/E?

If I also got an ignition coil, MSD Digital SCI+, fuel rail, 550cc injectors, 255 Walbro pump, etc... would I see any appreciable gains?

I ask this clearly idiotic question because I'd like to prep for turbocharging and I'd like to have as many auxilliary parts installed before I pull the engine, get a new header and install the turbo specific parts... And, yes, I know, I'll need to retune the Hondata when that all goes in...

But, to focus on the original question - what gains from Hondata + IHE + fuel system + ignition upgrades?

Thanks. :joshers:

You may notice a few hp, but not much. maybe 3-5hp.

You do know that you will be removing this "new header" that you plan to buy when you do go turbo right??

You're gonna run insanely rich with 550's on a stock motor...ignition is worthless...just wait until you go turbo for the fuel pump, injectors, and hondata.

Yeah I know my 4-2-1 header is coming out when I turbo.

So the consensus is just to wait and do everything at once?

You mentioned getting a new header thats Why I pointed that out.

You'll save money by only tuning once if you do it all at the same time (turbo).

I don't know if you can trim the injector THAT much...that's pretty big for a stock motor....well over double the stock size.

I have some 756cc injectors in right now that idle just fine, i'm going to be stepping up to 1000cc soon enough.
