ABS pump question!
Oh right never realised that!!! he has a snap on diagnostic machine thing he was using. I'll try the paperclip thing tomorrow then....on the scs connector is ther only two wires to bridge (like a 2 pin plug) or do i need to know which pins to bridge? I have checked all fuses and ther all good. thanks
Right i need to make sure i'm using the right plug here, so the one i used is behind the bottom of the glove box (RH drive so glove box is on the left side of the car when in the car looking 2wards the front), there are two plugs both of them are blue, one has two wires going to it, the other has three. The one with the two wires, the wires are black and brown when i bridged them with a paperclip nothing happened and when i turned the ignition on the abs light came on and turned off as usual, however the engine light came on and stayed on.
Am i using the wrong plug? when you say kick panel do you mean the one on the floor covering the ECU??
thanks agen. ste

No, it sounds like you got the correct plug. On my '95 Integra that's exactly what would happen if there's no error codes stored. (CEL stays on, ABS lamp flashes & stays off.) Did you wait several seconds for the ABS code flashing to start?
Kick panel is the vertical panel just forward of the door hinges. I'm beginning to wonder what's different with UKDM stuff...

Right tried it again, put the paperclip to each pin on the plug waited several seconds, nothing happens at all. Then i switch the ignition on, all lights come on as usual but then ABS light goes offstraight away and CEL light stays on, i wait several seconds and nothing happens. Then when i turn the engine on the same thing happens (ABS light stays off, but CEL light stays on).
Any ideas??? thanks agen ste
