how to change a head gasket?

Default how to change a head gasket?

i'm changing my zc's head gasket, i took the head off, got the new gasket. after putting the head back on, do i have to do anything else like timing the cam gears if so how?

Well, the timing belt has to be put back on exactly how it was taken off. You need to align the crank at TDC and then line the belt up on the cam gears.

Did you make sure to torque the head bolts to spec in a crosswise pattern?

yeah, i'd make sure you torque everything down to spec.

what do you by spec? i forgot how i took the the belt off.

By 'Spec' he means by Honda factory OEM specification. Make sure they are torqued down to what Honda recommends them to be at.
