I just bought a cold air intake. There is a question I have aout the installation. I just take out the old rubber piping and the old air filter. Is there a vaccum gose, or something like that? I am going to do it my self, and Im no mechanic and niether is my dad. Any help would be great. I see what might be a vaccum hose near the feul injector? What do I do with this?
There is a big vaccuum plastic thing near my lights. Do I take this out?

 

All the vacuum hoses you need to worry about for this is the hoses connected to your stock intake piping. If you bought the right intake for your car, it should come with a place to put those hoses onto the new piping.

 

So does the intake really get you better mpg, and a deep sound, and more HP?

 

It will give you better MPG, assuming you drive in the same manner. I myself have a pretty heavy foot, there for my fuel economy suffers.
You will get a deeper sound at wide open throttle because stock intake muffles sound.
And more horsepower yes becuase your freeing up the air restriction in the stock airbox.
