turbo question
i dont no much about compression and turbos.....if i bored my LS to a 2.0 ..... would that go good with turbo and what would happen to the compression..........i dont no if i asked this question right?
the compression wouldnt change i dont think. if so, it wouldnt be significant. i think that would work really well with a turbo, but while you in there just replace all the internals and then you can run like 20-25 psi on that biatch.
To get an LS to 2.0L, you would need to bore it to 84mm, which would leave you with some pretty thin sleeves, so no, that wouldn;t go well with a turbo setup. If you want to do it the right way, then you need to get it resleeved to 84 or 84.5mm and the aftermarket sleeves will hold up to the rigors of turbocharging quite nicely. If you don't want to spend the money on sleeving, then pick up a B20b/z block and swap it in. It comes stock with one-piece 84mm sleeves that would hold up much better than an LS bored to 84mm.
