Default swapping a b20b/z vs B18b

i can get both engines complete for about the same price in my 94 RS. the car is my daily driver, Im not going to crvtec, or turbo. I was wondering if it would make sence to put in a b20 instead. I would most likely be swapping my Fidanza 8.5 lbs flywheel, and exedy sport clutch. is the bigger block gonna be a simple plug and play setup?. The rev limiters are going to change i assume. If anyone can help shed some light.

my current b18b is okay. my head is making alot of noise (due to wear and tear), just trying to rationalize a rebuild, or just simple engine swap. As i understand, the b20b has like 126 hp (flywheel) or somthing and my b18b has 140 hp. I think the b20z is like 140 also. if i put in a b20b will i have less power?.

well if you swap in a b20b, youll gain a little over the factory hp becuase your swapping your better-flowing LS manifolds onto it. if you can find the high compression b20z, by all means get it.

if your heads making noise, adjust the valves, they may be the culprit.

Yea Ive already adjusted the valve's. Its like an orchestra of wierd rattles crackles and noise. the noise went down a bit, but is still there. The car has lots of power still, and burns very little oil (like 1/2 quart between oil changes).
