Default intake diameter sizing?

I had a 2.5 inch diameter AEM intake on my SOHC engine before. I have since put in a B16A4 engine into my del-sol. I was wondering if a 2.5 inch diameter intake is large enough? Thanks for your time.

That'll do for a bolt on application, but for cams & such I'd go with 3"

Intake velocity really only matters AFTER the throttle body, which is then dictated by manifold design, as long as you aren't choking the engine, you should be fine. When dealing with engine swaps, you should look at the throttle body size of the old and new engine, if the new engine has a significantly larger TB, then you might look at getting a larger diameter intake, if there's a marginal difference, you won't notice one way or the other.
