Intake velocity really only matters AFTER the throttle body, which is then dictated by manifold design, as long as you aren't choking the engine, you should be fine. When dealing with engine swaps, you should look at the throttle body size of the old and new engine, if the new engine has a significantly larger TB, then you might look at getting a larger diameter intake, if there's a marginal difference, you won't notice one way or the other.
