Default PCV valve is hiding

I own a 1990 Acura Legend Coupe and would like to replace the PCV valve, but can not find where it is located. I have worked on most all the cars I have owned, but locating this part has me stumped. The Haynes book only appears to give the PCV valve a fleeting mention. Can anyone tell me where this thing is located? Any tips on replacing it would be greatly appreciated if it is internal to the intake manifold instead of externally connected by vacuum tube (like my other cars were)?

if you had a pic of your engine I can point it out. Generally it is under a flat cover that you use 4X10mm shiny bolts, lift the cover, remove the PCV. I believe it's right side of the oil cap.

Default That was it...but...

Thanks for the tip - had to be on the road since my post so sorry for the delay - that's where the PCV appears to be located.

Okay, I took that cover off (three bolts). There seems to be a PCV valve, upside down. Only the tube shows though, down a hole on the right side. It is really stuck - no movement at all (trying by hand, side to side and upward pulling).

My girlfriend's '92 Olds 88 at least had a spring on top that kept tension until the lid was off, then the valve came right out (by hand, no prob). Hate the idea of using pliers but darned if I think it has EVER been replaced (bought it used 110k miles ago). Any ideas at this point on the best way to remove it - aside from having a dealer do it?

Never mind and thanks for the tip on where to look. First time I have seen a PCV valve that you had to use a socket wrench to get out. The original was so clogged up, oil obscured my view of it (should have looked at the replacement I bought - go figure). Anyway, worked like a charm, so many thanks and kudos to you lowelcam96!
