Default High compression d16y8

I've almost came to the end of the bolt on battle with this engine and i'm not wanting to turbo it, I was wondering is it worth it to put high compression pistons in the d16? What kind of hp gain should I expect? Thank you for your time.

it depends on what you want out of the car. If your looking for a fast car then no it's not going to happen, if your looking to gain a little more power and put those parts you already have to good use then sure why not. I'm not a N/A guy but I once heard that bumping your compression 1 full point equals about 10hp (going from 9.2:1 to 10.2:1). but thats also dependent upon your tuning. You may get more or you may get less, it's just a round about number.

oh and you also have to consider depending on how high you go you'll need to run premium gas (91+)

Unless you swap, the only way to get a good amount of power out a D-series without breaking the bank is forced induction.

I suggest you do one or the other because N/A on a D-series is a dead end road.
