Need HAN to help me pass smog inspection
Ok guys and gals. I really need your help. I don't know who to turn to.
So heres the story:
Last week I went to smog my vehicle, a 1998 Honda Prelude Base.
I failed, but it's not the emission part, it's the OBDII ECU part.
The inspection guy just told me to run it 20 miles on the freeway before I come to smog it again, and he said that stop n go traffic won't help.
So I was thinking to myself what if I fail again. It's not cheap getting a smog test you know.
My friends told me that the owner I bought the car from erased all the CELs and diagnostics from the ECU. So now the smog computers can't read it.
Is there anyway I can get the codes back? They said if I drove the car a certain way it will come back. But I have had the car for 2 months and driven it almost 3,000 mileage.
So please help. And thank for reading.
