Default Vtec head on 1990 b18a1 motor?

I just bought a 1990 b18a1 motor. Can I put a vtec head on it? If yes, which one? What do I need to do to make it work? Will the vtec head give the motor a shorter life?

LS vtec is unrealiable if not built right. I personally wouldnt do it, rather just slap a turbo on your LS

And so is turboing an LS. Just find a reputable shop, I love the LS VTEC setup.

No wonder people blow up motors so frequently. You cannot just slap a turbo on any engine.

i know a few people running turbo on stock internals and just running about 8-12 pounts of boost and they havent had any problems. I know that its Alot better to build your motor then just to slap a turbo on.

Well you can "slap" a turbo on the motor and it will be reliable all day at around 10psi...if you TUNE it.

ls/vtec is expensive and has a large chance of overrevvin if not done right. im pretty sure a 90 ls motor this old will not be able to run a turbo on stock internals. just get a rebuild then turbo charge it have have some fun
