What can go wrong with a leaking oil filter?

I will be checking the oil like I said. Also, i don't think I need a compression test because I am not losing any fuel efficiency.
I have an Acura Intregra 92 1.8L 4 dr. It's giving a little more than 30 mpg !!!
I did a compression test last year and everything was fine then.
