Default GSR gauge cluster into 93-95 hatch

Will a GSR guage cluster fit into a 93-95 hatch? if I do the swap, how hard is it to fit, and is it even necessary? Will the stock cluster be accurate to it's limits? kind of fresh to the hondas...be gentle

Not without modification.
You will need to do some rewiring as well as some cutting of the gauge shroud.

What about the stock guage cluster? will the readings be correct even with the swapped motor? or should I just get a big face tach and remember the redline?

Yes,i have 2 swaps,One is using a OEM JDM cluster and one is the stock US cluster.
BTW the generation civic you ask about is 92-95.
Also check this link,

it's a how to for a similar cluster into a Crx.
It is going to be basically the same.

Also try going here and reading up...

Default Post Resurrected!!!!

Well...finaly got the cluster in...those of you in the kno understand why this took so long--anyways--looks great ( not all chewed up like the latest write up ) I need to open the dash up again, speedo needs rewiring ( I know why, different wiring charts )

thing is, the fuel guage doesn't work...I know I wired it up right, it was one of the only splices that was the same across all the different DIY's...read some where that you have to remove the fuel guage needle, fuel up, and replace it at full, or something??? any one else with swapped out gsr clusters pitch in, please...what do I do!?!?!? this is the only thing not working...

I'll post pics, w/ a brief explanation of the way I did it with reference to other DIY's, I'm not doing a full write up-there's too many already...

^^^That I used for the wiring diagram, trimming, and install...

After install, I checked and re-checked all the connections, making sure they were right--I attatched the seatbelt signal to the ABS light in the cluster, so I wouldn't see 'ABS' ...I'm pretty sure it's the fuel gauge, I just wanted to see if anyone else who did this had the same problem...

Alright--installed, and pics will be up later... It all works, too--I'll send a note to the moderators to post this up in the DIY--

If you do this, and don't acually re-pin the cluster clips, it will not work...

In particular the fuel gauge wire--
the slot on the integra cluster clip utilized for the fuel gauge is pin '3'...
there was not a wire/pin in slot '3' in the integra cluster clips that I picked up from the local salvage yard--

so I had to jerrymander the fuel gauge wire from the car harness in to the pin slot, and fasten it to the clip so that the wire would make a connection with the contact on the cluster...also, many of the wires are mislabled on all of the DIY wiring diagrams...I don't mean that they don't work for the writers of those DIY's, I'm saying that there's a distinct possibility that there are different colored wires for different clips...I don't know what the difference between them is, different assembly plant, different trim model, or what...but there are differences...
