Default Another ECU post...

I just have two quick questions as I am looking to purchase an OBD1 ECU for my car so that I can chip it and tune it with uberdata. Firstly, I was told that it doesn't matter if the ECU is for an automatic or manual because after it is chipped you will have control over everything. Truth? Secondly, is a P72 the ECU that I should be looking at? Do I have to get a P72 or could I go for a P28? Sorry as I am new to this whole chipping thing and I was cursed with the OBD2 to begin with.

depending on your setup.. No it does matter if it's and auto or manual. you can chip a auto to work for manual but involves more steps not worth time or money. Agian depending on your motor setup. with my experience i've went with the P72 just because it's easier to mess with... hope that will help you out.

if you want to keep the intake secondaries functional, you'll need a p72. a p28 wont control them.
