Varying opinions on Engine Break-in. Some say if you baby the car too much, you'll never get proper piston/ring seal. Others say the first 20 miles is the most crucial time to break-in the engine. During this time do several WOT runs. Any experience with this?

I followed the owner's manual. Took it easy the first 600 miles but varied the RPM's no higher then 3,500. With about 850 miles on it now, I'm taking it up to 4k frequently. I don't want to end up with an oil burner. I have the 2.4L.

Here is an article to chew on.

There will always be a controversy over how to properly break an engine in. I prefer this method: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=878397.
