Default Bit off too much?

My mechanic is really nervous trying to swap this jdm 94 f22b1 with my blown 91 f20-f22? usdm non vtech. He wants to use the 91 intake and fuel injection and the 91 distributor so we don't have to change the wire set.

Kinda defeats the purpose doesn't it?

Find a new mechanic.
I wouldn't feel comfortable leavingmy car with a "mechanic" that not comfortable with a little wiring. He would rather spend more time swapping all those parts then to do a little wiring? it's only a few wires.

It's just that he's a friend and can use the work. I have decided to go ahead, have him do the work removing the old engine then I'll work with him step by step to change the necessary wiring. We will both learn alot that way. Thanks for the advice!
