Default Electronic management for turbo

Hi, i'm building a '92 civic with a t3/t4 turbo, a je pistons, well many dirty stuff that really turn me on , and i'm buying a SAFC-II to control the ecu..... i allready use it in other projects and works great but the guy of the parts shop said that i'm loosing a lot of money with that , cause i can use a FMU from the people of vortech and thats it, so is it true or just a seller bullsh.... ? or maybe it works but i will need to change other stuff?

an fmu is not the best choice. you can get around on it but the safc with bigger injectors would be better.

Depends on your set-up. I'm not talking down on fmu's but unless your running less then 5psi you want something better then the fmu....
Sure it's the cheapest (start-up) form of crude tuning but it may cost you a whole hell of a lot more down the road...in the form of a rebuild.
If you have a semi-built motor you should go with at least a semi-decent form of tuning that motor..
Check into hondata it's great and give you complete control over your tuning. Or if your computer literate and can do your own tuning then check into uberdata, its like hondata but cheaper...both allow you to make fuel and ignition changes via the stock ecu....
Fmu's have their place and thats on vehicles that either have no aftermarket support (software wise) or if your looking for something simple and crude to do your tuning with...
