Default to all of the machine gurus

ok i have a set of 81.5 mm toda pistons going into a b series. ok i talked to the machine shop about boring my cylinders and he says he needs the skirt clearances, i say ok, i call up todaracing and ask them, they give me the specs which are, anywhere from a .020-.030mm over for skirt clearance. this works out to be a little over a thousanth of an inch. i told the machinist, and he says that usually they are no smaller than .003" with this sized pistons. but on the toda website, they claim that their alloy doesnt allow thermal expansion over 1/1000mm. what are the thoughts here, should i be safe with this clearance?
