Default Turbo - Learn Me

i'm about to get a 2000 Integra GS (B18B1) and i'd like to eventually turbo it. i don't know all that much about turbo yet though, so i have some questions.

question 1: i'd like to get intake and/or exhaust for it soon, but then i don't want to waste money on something that i won't be using after i turbo it. if i got an aem intake would that be taken off after i turbo it? and also, i was planning to get the greddy evo2 exhaust system, but will that exhaust go with boost or would i have to change it?

question 2: the engine has 58,000 miles on it right now. i know it'll be a while before i turbo it, so it'll have even more miles. should i worry about replacing any engine parts before i turbo it? and if i should, which parts would need replacing more than others?

that's all i can think to ask right now...any help's appreciated.

The intake will not be able to be used after you go turbo, the exhaust can be made to work with the set-up. Try to find 2.5" exhaust piping.
Te stock motor will be fine, just do a leakdown and compression test to check the integrity of the internals, then boost away.

1. Intake is useless but I have the Greddy Evo 2 on my car now with the turbo and it does fine. A bigger diameter is always best.

2. I have 134,000 miles on my car and I run 8psi daily driven. I need new rings though, so have your engine checked out before you boost.

to answer question 2 you should run a compression test on your motor to see the condition of the motor and work from there, if you're really paranoid theres plenty to do to safeguard your motor
