Im always seeing this stuff with mugen, like there performance parts, and there new v8 and what not. I was wandering if anybody knew, or could tell me exactly what mugen is. Is it owned by honda? Do the two co develope products? Like that new Mugen V8, is that designed my honda and mugen? Im sorta confused here, could anyone clear this up for me? thanks

Mugen was started about 30 years ago by Hirotoshi Honda, the son of the FOUNDER of Honda Corporation. It's a separate company but of course they are very closely tied together. They have built Honda racing engines for the factory for many years (even Formula 1) and develop those expensive Honda & Acura performance/racing products you are talking about.

The word "Mugen" roughly translates into English as "Unlimited"

Is there any way to tell if a product, such as a header is REALLY Mugen? I saw a header on e-bay and a guy here in Vegas the other day pulled me over and tried to sell me a "Mugen" header. Is there any way to tell so I don't get screwed if I buy one?

If you can afford it, then it's not Mugen....

That's my take on it.
