Gsr tranny would be best.

the b16 or itr trannies will be too short and kill the engine on the freeway.

Even the gsr engine is gonna give you high revs on the freeway, but not as bad.

LS tranny if you want good gas mileage

Well this car will be my all-day car, and on night killing mashine for others . So i won't drive a lot on the freeways and i've already found a b16a2 tranny, you think that gear box from b16 will be so bad ?? And LS tranny will manage something like 200-240 hp ??

b16 tranny would be the fastest besides 98+ itr trannies.. also if you can find LSD that'd help a lot, especially with the amount of torque you would have...
but like I said, the high rpm on the freeway would cause problems.

You should just do b16 tranny with LS fifth gear

the rpm's wont be too bad with a b16/itr tranny. ~4.5k @ 80mph. with a gsr tranny you'll be at 4k @ 80mph. its one of those compromises you have to make.

4400 rpm at 80mph is what he will be looking at, but you have to remember with the b20 shortblock, that is like hell for it.

It won't last 20k miles of high rpm driving, not to mention the gas mileage

there are plenty of people with b20vtec setups and b16/itr/gsr trannies running no problem. like i said, you have to give something to get something. in this case, gas mileage for acceleration. plus he said he wont be doing much freeway driving.

People with H22/23 trannies constatly see 4K at 80MPH....

Different animal, but still the same breed
