Maybe running rich and how to fix???

Default Maybe running rich and how to fix???

I had thought at one time i was burning oil but i really dont think i am because im not losing any and its not white smoke its black..... when i rev, at high RPMs i get a puff of black smoke and during normal driving i get crap on my muffler and my bumper which is black, I also wonder if its my cat and maybe i need to put a new one on, or am i running rich, and if it is what should i do?just would like some input. I would love just to swap but im a college student just trying to get by with the money i have lol!!!

Black smoke is usually indicative of running rich. You have no other mods, other than what's listed? If you have n FPR, you can try backing your fuel pressure off a little. Other than that, check your plugs and see if they're black, and make sure the rest of your ignition system is in good working order. Check the distributer cap and rotor, plug wires, etc. If your ignition isn't completely burning the mixture in the combustion chamber, that'd explain the rich condition.
