Default catlytic converter help

alright, i just got a b18b swap in a 5th gen hatch. i also just got my apex'i ws2. problem is, i don't have a cat right now and i'm trying to avoid welding my new pipes to a test pipe. my buddies got a highflo cat off his 96 ex. i was wonder if a cat off a 6th gen ex will fit a b series motor. if not, which year cat should i get. what would you suggest i do?

Just have a muffler shop make you a test pipe. You can have them use the same flanges as the header and the rest of your exhaust so you can bolt it up instead of welding it on. That's your best bet for both a temporary fix and a long term solution.
