I can almost guarantee you that you will be extremely unhappy with a B16 and an auto tranny...the B16 is not called the torqueless wonder for nothing, and the S4 tranny that come with the Si has short gearing to make up for this.

 

not the whole swap for 700 no engine is that much for a whole entire swap...or it would be way too easy im talking about the block and a maybe a few other things

 

thats the point i was trying to make. for 700 you can get the block, but its not vtec.

they recommended it second to the 6 speed RSX type s tranny

also thats what they used in the cover car the K-series swap onto an EK chassis is the SI tranny.....like i said ex/si i wasnt exactly sure but i was closer then you thought

 

you should clarify which year ex/si you are refering to because there are many.

its a good back peddle, but not good enough, because no EX tranny from any generation would ever bolt up the B20.....

 

I have a d16y8, no need for a mini-me swap. The only reason I was going to swap is that I don't wanna do a Tbelt change, and I get some money from insurance. I'm not going turbo because that will not change the longevity of my car, it might even make the engine last less.

I don't know what I'm going to do at this point, I may trade my car for an auto integra...I'm just frustrated at how slow my car is...

You're talking the new Si hatchback's K series unit. That is completely different then the 6G's D series EX unit and B series Si unit.

The parts have to stay within the engine families. K series transaxles only work with K series engines.
