Just like the b21 out of the old lude, it's a b-series like non-other.
It's the design that causes the failure not the thinkness.
As far as the head, there is no such thing as a non-vtec b16a, if anything the b18b and b20 are very close, if not the same. I've never investigated the b20 head so i cant say for certain.

how much does the sleeving of the B20 cost? Is it only a durability problem when it is boosted?

typically sleeving for honda 4 cylinders runs ~$1000
