Default Spool Solenoid Valve

So the one on my B16a is junk. Is there anyway to troubleshoot it? The manual wasn't much help. If it is bad what USDM car do I order it for and does anyone know about how much it costs? It's completely retarded right now, one second it's trying to idle on the high cam, the next it changes back and idles somewhat normal. Then we can hear it clicking as it switches back and forth. It's running like total shit, but the solenoid valve is the only code it's spitting out.

VTEC Solenoid Valve defective circuit or unplugged / defective solenoid valve
* invalid code for non-VTEC engine
** invalid for V6 engine

I don't know where you got 'spool solenoid' from, but that's the code definition.

I'd say check the oil level to see if it's low on oil because that can throw this code.

What ECU are you running? What car is this in?
