Default Clean a Cat converter

I was just wondering how can you clean a cat converter, my acceleration is gone and the car seems like its pulling a trailer behind it. Is there some fluid you can put in the tank? I already put some fuel injector cleaner into the gass tank. thanks

You don't clean cat converters. You replace them.

Sorry, there's no cheap way out here.

I sorta agree with Kai, except first you should be certain that it's your cat in the first place. There's plenty of other stuff that can cause lack of power. But your description is way too vague to guess. How old are your normal tune-up things like spark plugs?

That doesn't "clean" them... it "fixes" them. :chuckles:

Regardless, an el-cheapo replacement test pipe does a better job. Unless you have to pass emissions tests, that is.
