Default How to identify the JDM DOHC ZC engine

I'm going to buy a JDM DOCH ZC engine and ECU tomorrow for a swap. I don't need help on the ECU, but how do I identify the JDM DOHC ZC engine ?? I know it has a Dual Cam, but what else should i look for ?? Any engraving or # i should look for ??

well, I mean an extra cam is pretty easy to spot.. bigger valve cover and such... that should be a pretty dead giveaway.

The "ZC" stamp on the block makes it pretty obvious.

yea all zc blocks are j-spek engines. they're pretty easy to spot too. if you're farmiliar with all the dohc engines that honda has produced over the years this should be a gimme. here's a list of all zc block applications from the factory.

ZC Honda CRX (JDM) 1990-1993
ZC Honda CRX Si16/1.6i (JDM) 1989-1992
ZC Honda CRX Si (JDM) 1985-1987
ZC Acura Integra (JDM) 1990-1993
ZC Acura Integra (JDM) 1986-1989
ZC Honda Civic Si (JDM) 1986-1987
ZC Honda Civic Si (JDM) 1988-1991

good luck

the engine will look just like the D16A DOHC first generation Integra motor. the valvecover will look similar to the B18B LS. there will be a ZC stamp on the block.
