Default need help

right now in my 99 Ex coupe im running a JDM Sir-g with I/H/E, FPR and VAFC2. With that set up alone and STOCK everything else the car runs 14.6s and 14.7s @94MPH. My goal for the car is just to get it into the 13s period without going wild with the motor being that its a daily driven car. I was told that if i install a CTR intake cam, skunk2 manifold and cam gears and tune everything that it will be possible for me to run 13s. Im still running a stock clutch and flywheel in which i wil eventually change. Do you all think 13s is possible?. The reason why i would consider going with this set up is because i know that with skunk cams i will not get their full potential without raising compression which is somthing that I am not ready to do right now.

You could achieve that with a well flowing head. Consider doing some porting and maybe some valve work. The skunk2 intake will help you out and so will the cams. I also highly recommend that you change out the clutch. What are your 60' times? What tires are you running?

Bring that down to under 2 and you'll be much closer. Realize that it's so much more about your driving abilities than it is about the power you create. If you can't use that power at its full potential then so much is wasted. You might consider keeping the current setup and just practicing with it. I have high hopes that you could potentially get down to the low 14s if you learn to drive better.

I ran 14.4 at 96 with a 2.2 60' with a '92 CX with a B18C1 with just an intake and exhaust (no PS or A/C). I have a few friends who are better drivers that me that could hit a 2.0 60' and ran 14 flat 13.9 with similiar setups (GS-R in a DX coupe and ITR gutted down).

There's always room for improvement.

I ran a 1.8 60' time on street tires (Falken Ziex) when I ran my 12.6 @ 114. Try to get them down to around 2 flat. A 60' time can make or break a run.
