Default need help, $7k to spend

newbie who needs help, all opinions and advice is welcome.

Current Car: 3rd GEN Honda Prelude 88-91 4WS(Pure Stock),
Current Engine: B21A1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
goals: Reliability as in daily driven first and not breaking down within a month or year, then Performance, atleast 400+ HP or a little less if performance needs to be sacrificed for reliability.

Looking to swap: H22A-S or H23A(Suggestions on this)

Budget: $7000(could push for another $1000)

All motor or turbo?

That's still a pain in the ass. The B20A/B21A are very different form later B's.

If you have $7k to spend, sell your car. That will leave you with about $9k to spend, plenty of money to buy a better car and make it faster for less cash and work.

To be honest, pre-92 Preludes really are a waste of money.

Oh, yeah, it's a nice body with a fair engine... there just isn't much you can do with it.
