Default iat sensor, and funny idle

Ok, so I have had my b16a2 in my 93 ex for about 2 weeks. But, My friends and I are yet to figure out why they idle is 1500RPM, and I still get code 10, IAT sensor bad. I know it has something to do with the fact I used the 97 gs-r harness instead of the si one. We plugged everything in correctly. But, I know the idle has something to do with a defective or mismatched intake sensor. I am stumped cuz I can't figure out the differences in the harnesses. I haven't found a manual yet for either car, that is what I prob should do, but havent had time yet..I hope this gs-r harness will work like it should or maybe this harness and motor won't work together...I am using a JDM P30 ECU, I went with the gs-r harness because it plugs into the older chassis plugs, but has the OBD2 sensors for the b16a at the same time. KawiGreen Told me bout this but I haven't heard from him since......help?

are you sure its not code IAC idle air control
cause i am having the same problem and i have replaced the idle air control valve 2 times and switched out my ecu and still have the crappy idle and the code.....

i have a 96 honda civic ex with the stock 1.6 SOHC engine in it so nothing is mixed or matched... and honda doesn't even know whats wrong with it...

the only thing i can think of is that it might be a bad wire in the wire harness...

so just to let you know i feel your pain

Default What's up?

Crappy idle is sometimes a real pain to fix. First thing I would recommend is pull the throttle body off and replace that gasket and make sure the new one seals properly. I've actually seen that fix a few problems. Another simple thing sometimes messed up is the throttle cable itself, make sure it's had enough slack to allow the throttle to completely close when nobody's pushing the pedal. Try those two and hopefully that fixes it, if not, see if you can find a good buddy with the same motor and start yanking parts from him to try on yours till you find out what fixes it. It may be the wiring harness, but then again. Seeya.
