Default would you bother with a fancy headgasket?

b18c5 bottom end, b16a1 top end

should i get a skunk2 spoon toda something like that headgasket or will the honda OEM be fine?

i am not changing anything else yet so the engine wont be under any abnormal force, i want to get some ITR cams later on this year but right now im just trying to get my engine together and in my car.

is there a diff. between b16a1 gasket and b18c5 gasket?

Most people recommend OEM gaskets unless you are under EXTREME condition...i.e. major boost.

I used OEM on my first build and am using Cometic this time just because I want to be sure I get the right one for my bore size (84mm). I could go with a B20B gasket, but Cometic is just as costly. OEM handled ~300 whp and 14psi just fine.

C5 if you're sticking with the stock C5 bore.

The head does not effect the gasket usage.
