Hey,
new to this fourm. I got a 90' Integra RS. Driving over the highway last night, lost power and got out to check for problems...The manifold and front of the engine was glowing RED, shining off the pavement.
Anyways, I now have the block cracked...And am wondering what engine can go in there, I beleive I now have a B18a1, not sure if thats right. anyways, what cars can I look for for that engine?
Cvics? Can I put in a 1.5? or 1.6?

I wouldn't put a civic motor in there. It can be done but you dont want to downgrade.
Any B18 from around those years will bolt right in I think.
BTW how the hell did you do that?

 

That body would be a pathetic slug if you tried to drop in a 1.5l or 1.6l D-series, besides, that would take a lot of work.

Grab any 90-01 B18A or B18B block and reuse your manifolds and distributor on it.

 

does your car have a catalytic converter on it? I had a buddy whos ex manni lit up like that cause his cat was clogged. might want to check that out too.

 

where are you located? i have a b18a1 from a 92 gs i will sell you just the bottom end if thats all you need. i also have an exhaust manifold ill throw in if yours is ruined.
