Default Water injection nozzle placement question

Where would you inject the water on a root type S/C? Before the S/C or after? I saw some WI setup inject water before the S/C. But I have read some people having problems with injecting water before the S/C. So does it really matter?

Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking when injecting anything into the engine be it fuel, nitrous, water, whatever, the best place to put the injectors is on each runner of the intake manifold.

Thanks. I did some research, looks like the Pontiac people spray before the s/c with no problem.

The Jackson S/C has a port for water injection on it.

If you spray before the charger you'll eat the blades.

yeah, don't spray before the charger, that'll cause serious longevity issues. Its meant to move air, not water. If you have a JRSC, you can use their injection point, otherwise, you'll have to make your own.

For turbo cars, the rule of thumb is 8-10" before the TB, but that wouldn't really be possible on a roots blower. Since putting it in at just one point on the plenum wont evenly distribute it, you may have to do like MrFatrear said and inject on every runner. Water needs time to atomize before its gets to the combustion chamber, so I'd recommend putting them as far back as you can get them from the combustion chamber on each runner.

What kinda SC is it?

I have a friend that want to sell his jrsc, I'm thinking of getting it and run WI on it. If it has a special port for WI then I will inject from there. Thanks.
