ok my brother told me he just baught a ZC motor.. when we went to pick it up on the block it said D16y....... some thing, and it dohc. but a wile ago i saw a ZC motor that said ZC on the block what is that motor ? A ZC or just a DOHC D16?

as far as i know, there are no DOHC d16's

any d16 is a SOHC
isnt the ZC a DOHC non-vtec?

ahh, yes i forgot about that old ass crappy integra engine. Wouldn't ever mod something like that.

It's actually a very good engine, pretty much THE engine to use in an 84-87 Civic/CRX. With a few browntop ZC parts, that's easily a 130hp engine. The browntop ZC is arguably the best D-series engine ever produced, with a factory 135hp rating.

At least it isn't as crappy as all the SOHC D-series engines.
