Default B16a1 with Darton sleeves, or B18c1

I wanna sleeve a B16 for a huge turbo build, or should i just get the b18c1, i could get the whole change over b16 and sleeve it myself for what it costs for the b18 changeover...any thoughts??

I hope you're not planning on sleeving it yourself unless you have major experience, not just in engine building, but in sleeving particularly. I wouldn't even trust most engine building/performance shops to sleeve a motor for me. IMO, the sleeve manufacturer should be the one to sleeve a motor. THe most common cause for sleeve failure is improper installation.

Now that thats out of the way... If you're planning on building up anyway, you'll be much happier with the increased displacement of the B18C... Quicker spool, more power, and more torque.

well either could make a lot of power, but you'll have a harder time getting torque out of the B16.

Honestly, if you're sleeving and rebuilding (I hope you're using forged internals and arp fasteners, the sleeves wont do you much good if you crack a rod) you're gonna end up spending a lot of money either way. I would just assume you not compromise and get the better motor, but thats just a personal opinion.
